Meadowridge Veterinary Hospital Services

Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough checkups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. We strive to make yours pet's visit as enjoyable and stress free as possible.

Located in N. Lansing, we're a short drive away from Ithaca, Groton, Genoa, Kings Ferry, Locke, and Cortland.

We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best:

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services:  Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.

Behavioral Counseling:  This is one of our areas of special interest.  Several staff members have advanced education and experience in animal behavior and training (including agility, rally and herding).  We offer complimentary "life skills sessions" with our technician for all new puppies and kittens.

Dentistry:  Our dental services include oral examinations; education on home care and prevention; dental cleaning and evaluations; dental radio graphs; extractions and oral surgery.

Surgical Services:  Our surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures.

Anesthesia:  We utilize a variety of anesthetic agents to enable us to select the most appropriate and safest approach for each pet.

Radiology Services:  Our on-site, X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders. We offer referrals to radiology specialists for ultrasound examinations.

Electrocardiography Services:  We provide ECG services including on-site and telemedicine consultations.

Laboratory:  Our in-house laboratory equipment allows for extremely rapid evaluations of your pet's organ function (white blood cell counts, chemistries, electrolytes).  We also utilize referral laboratories for additional testing.

Permanent identification:  It is important that your pet has identification at all times.  We can microchip your pet.  Once the microchip is placed, it must be registered with the microchip company.  If your pet ever becomes lost, he/she can be traced back to you if found.

Pharmacy:  We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, flea and tick control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry a full line of prescription diet foods.

Individualized Flea Control Programs:  We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your yard and on your pet.

Dietary Counseling:  We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.

Emergency Care: Cornell University Hospital for Animals provides 24 hour care. Their number is (607)- 253-3060. Cornell also recommends vettriage.com for   video chat  sessions with licensed veterinarians.  VCA Colonial provides limited emergency care; their number is ‭(607) 257-3650‬.
